Cameron Hunter
Cameron Hunter is a vocalist and composer with a love for music of every genre. She is comfortable teaching classical, musical theatre, pop, and folk singing. She also offers lessons in beginner piano.
Cameron is a graduate of the University of Ottawa's Bachelor of Music program, specializing in classical composition and voice. Her latest work, a string quartet titled "Breathless" was premiered at Ottawa Chamberfest in Summer 2024. She holds a grade 9 Royal Conservatory of Music certificate in voice. Though these credits may sound distinctly classical, Cameron's first love was folk music; she is a lifelong Joni Mitchell devotee.
For Cameron, singing has always been a method of self-expression. She believes that there is no "right way" to do it. Instead, her teaching philosophy centres around providing students with the tools to express themselves exactly as they wish to. Whether this means perfecting your classical technique, exploring some of your favourite artist's greatest hits, or learning to belt showtunes, Cameron can help!
